Rentals United connects your inventory to Hopper Homes, putting your listings in front of Hopper’s traveller base — and, notably, giving you access to something most channel connections don’t: closed, high-value booking portals. Through Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS), Rentals United’s Hopper integration also plugs your properties into financial rewards platforms like Capital One and Royal Bank of Canada, putting your listings in front of vetted cardholders booking through exclusive portals rather than the open OTA market.
What gets synced
Once connected, Rentals United handles the full loop automatically: property content, photos, pricing, availability, and reservations all sync between your account and Hopper — no manual double-entry required.
Getting connected
- Upload your properties into Rentals United, either manually or via your PMS/API sync.
- Go to Services in your Rentals United account and add Hopper.
- Activate the connection.
Onboarding typically takes under 7 days once you’ve activated.
Eligibility requirements
There are two gating factors worth knowing before you start:
- Minimum inventory: you need at least 10 properties to enable the connection.
- Geographic coverage: the channel currently only accepts listings from North America and the Caribbean, though Rentals United notes further countries are expected to be added over time.
Commission and pricing
Hopper charges 14% commission on the total booking amount. There’s no separate setup or subscription fee tied to the connection — it runs on the standard commission-based model.
Why it’s different from a typical OTA connection
Rentals United positions this less as “another listing site” and more as a demand channel with built-in loyalty economics. Because bookings flow through Capital One Travel and similar reward programs, Rentals United’s marketing points to longer stays, higher average booking values, and stronger off-season performance compared with traditional OTAs — with no added work or commission complexity on your end for accessing that audience.
