Destination - Coffs Harbour, New South Wales.

It’s well known that Aussies love “Big Things”. There are more than 150 oversized novelty objects around the country, it's pretty much our "go-to" tourist attraction when drawing visitors to a town. When you think of Coffs Harbourthe Big Banana is usually the first thing that comes to mind, it has been in situ since 1964, as the second Aussie Big Thing (the first was The Big Scotsman in Adelaide, which is one year older). The Coffs Coast stretches for 50km between Red Rock in the north to the surfing Mecca of Scotts Head in the south, before creeping inland, uphill, as far as Dorrigo. Being almost precisely halfway between Brisbane and Sydney has seen the Coffs Coast, or more specifically Coffs Harbour, a traditional overnight stop for many a family taking the Pacific Coast drive. But an overnight stopover it is no longer! To make the most of all the Coffs Coast has to offer, book accommodation in Coffs Harbour or a holiday house or beach house on the Coffs Coast for at least a week or two. Find your Coffs Harbour holiday house at Search and Stay.

The Big Banana is definitely a must-do when in town, especially with kids in tow, but Coffs Harbour and Coffs Coast has so much more to offer.
