Expedia Reservation processing

Instant booking process

To make a reservation, Expedia uses the data available in the channel. Expedia does not perform the quote request to Channel Manager before the reservation is made. Channel Manager retrieves reservations from Expedia every 5 minutes.

  1. A guest enters the reservation page on the Expedia website and provides the details of a reservation (dates, number of guests etc.).

  2. If the property is available to rent, the guest completes the reservation process on the Expedia website by providing their personal data.

  3. Channel Manager retrieves the reservation from Expedia.

Booking request process (N/A)

Booking request process is not possible on the Expedia website.

Modifying a reservation

Modifications are initiated in Expedia and synchronized to Channel Manager.

Note: If a reservation is modified in Channel Manager, it will not be synchronized with Expedia

Cancelling a reservation

Cancellations are initiated in Expedia and synchronized to Channel Manager.

Note: If a reservation is cancelled in Channel Manager, it will not be synchronized with Expedia
