Paying outside Search and Stay
In most cases, Search and Stay will collect the full cost of your reservation. However, there are a few exceptions where the Host may collect certain authorised fees and taxes directly from guests using a different payment method.
These fees must be clearly stated in the listing description or terms and conditions and included in the price breakdown before booking. Typically, they are charged before your stay, at check-in, or within 48 hours of checkout.
Here are some additional fees you may come across:
- Resort fees: These fees may cover amenities such as pool use or valet parking.
- Incidentals: This can include charges for airport shuttle services or meals.
- Local occupancy tax: In certain areas, Hosts are legally obligated to collect this tax in person.
